Franklin Food Market is one of the oldest family owned grocery stores and speciality meat markets in Sioux Falls. It was also the first grocery store in the Siouxland to have a “milk day” special. Over 60 years later, Franklin is still offering a daily milk special and great prices on quality cuts of meat.
In a world full of big box grocery stores with big box advertising budgets, it was hard for Franklin Food Market to reach the same audiences as their competition. Franklin’s existing advertising campaigns were limiting them to the reach provided by traditional newspaper advertising. We helped Franklin rethink their advertising spending by giving their existing customers the opportunity to be notified of store specials via email and text messages. Digitally delivering each week’s specials allows Franklin to use their advertising budget to reach new customers, instead of to notify existing customers through expensive newspaper advertising.
Their new website features a more organized content structure to help consumers easily navigate weekly specials, product information, and store history. We also provided Franklin with a mobile site to give mobile users the information they’re looking for—great prices and store hours. The website and mobile site are built around a single content management system (CMS) that allows the staff at Franklin to simultaneously update both sites when they’re not busy helping customers.
